Peirsol in 100 backstroke final after Lochte drops out

IRVINE, California (Reuters) - World record holder Aaron Peirsol failed to qualify for the 100 meters backstroke at the Pan Pacific Championships Wednesday but advanced to the final when American team mate Ryan Lochte pulled out.
