Kansas City Royals RHP Gil Meche placed on 15-day DL

The Kansas City Royals placed right-hander Gil Meche on the 15-day disabled list and recalled right-hander Victor Marte from Triple-A Omaha before Saturday's game against the Boston Red Sox.
