Source: Memphis freshman guard Will Barton declared academically ineligible

A source with direct knowledge of the situation told ESPN.com that highly touted freshman guard Will Barton had his academic eligibility denied and is in jeopardy of passing up not only the Tigers' Aug. 14-16 trip to the Bahamas but also his season.
